Intaglio Printmaking

Places

I’ve been reflecting on how connected I am to place and memory through my work recently. Even my linocut works that feature pinecones and leaves are created from pieces of nature I’ve picked up on my walks through familiar places. In this series, I decided to capture landscapes that take up a lot of space in my memories as small prints. There is an intimate relationship when you work at this scale, and the viewer also leans in to see the details. These drypoint prints are done on 2” square copper plates.
